About Mutation Analysis
The mutation analysis tool allows you to visualize genetic variants on protein entropy surfaces. This helps identify whether mutations occur in regions of high entropy, which may indicate a higher likelihood of structural impact.
Supported File Formats
- VCF (Variant Call Format) - Standard format for storing gene sequence variations
- CSV - Simple format with columns for position, reference allele, alternate allele, and optional significance/score
Visualization Features
- Overlay mutations on 3D surface, contour, or heatmap visualizations
- Color-code mutations by pathogenicity or significance score
- Filter mutations by significance (pathogenic, benign, VUS)
- Highlight specific mutations to examine their position on the entropy surface
- Export filtered mutation data for further analysis
